Looking for W220 insights.
 

alright... I am ready to plunge into the deep end. I am looking to pickup a S600. and would like some tips on what to look for and the pros and cons of the different years.
I have 2 that I am looking at.

1. 2002 Designo S600 all options except Distronic. 69K miles. Clean carfax. Still need to see if MB has service records on car.

2. 2003 S600 (AMG Sport Package) all available options except Designo. 69K miles. Clean carfax. Still need to check on Service records.

aside from the extra power I have heard the 03 V12 is more robust and less likely to have some of the oil leak problems of the 02.

Is the ABC the same on both cars? Is there anything there in particular I should look at?

If someone can give me a basic run down that would be awesome.

In all seriousness, those are fantastic cars when all the problems are sorted out. You should seriously pursue something CPO or with a warranty.
