fuel problem
First, the car would run ok (if we did not crowd it) up to about 60 MPH. Today I barely got home. It slowed down, died, but would start right back up, and run at about 15-20 MPH. Crowd it in the least and it died. Seems to me to be fuel problem. Maybe filter? Where is it located? What else should we check? Thanks, Jim Morgan. 704-902-7133 or 873-1160.

Welcome to the forum, Jim. There are a lot of knowledgeable people to give advice and help you out, but you need to help them out a bit too. We need model, year, mileage, and a brief amount of maintenance history and description of what you've already done in the way of testing or replacement parts in an attempt to correct your current symptoms.

update on 1991 190 E 2.6 fuel problem
I installed a new fuel filter, and the car is running much better. However the idle is slightly rough and the engine still surges badly during full throttle. I appreciate any help you can give me. It is a 1991 190E with 2.6 Gas engine. We recently got the car on the road. I had been sitting for several years. Our mechanic replaced the fuel distributor, fuel injectors, and cleaned the gas tank. When I replaced the fuel filter today, the fuel pumps did not look like they were new. I may have misunderstood our mechanic.
