Water pump In my 300sel !!!
Well, Aifter 3 days..off and on, reading and following great advice from people on this forum, the water pump is in, car is up and running. I cannot wait to go ask my "it will cost you 1000 bucks mechanic"...what were the tools that would cost me 500.00 if I were to do this myself.
Thanks again...I am sure there will be more issues, but this one ended...a winner! Warren |
congrats
getting something accomplished is always rewarding... and being able to stick fingers into eyes even better..

The other downside to your mechanic is that if he thought special tools were required then he doesn't know what he is doing.
The only special tool required is the one required to help remove the fan clutch - which you can make yourself - and longer socket extensions. |
Once you do the water pump....just about every other job seems like a piece of cake.. congrats
