i've bot an 89 420sel and live in south dakota. the last few days, it's been under 10 degrees. how can i get warm air to the back seat through the vent in the console?, all i seem to get is cold air!

I think the console vents are A/C only on this model. Aren't there underseat ducts on W126 models for rear heat?

I was just about to post the exact same question... I was wondering if a duct or valve had gone bad. Guess not.

I agree with PaulC. The 126 I had only pushed a/c and fresh air to the back seat through the console. The heated air came from the underseat ducts.
