Exclamation WOW! Lookie what I stumbled Upon!

Among my many searches for ANYTHING transmission related I came across this little gem. 119 page PDF outlining a complete teardown and rebuild with parts identifications, interchange notes and other little goodies.

It's too big to attach, so I'll post the link

THE LINK

Awesome. Now all we need is the one for the 722.6. Even though mine functions flawlessly, I'd like to know what makes it tick...

Thanks!

Nic. I have it already. its decent but having WIS for the trannies is the best since goes over the slight changes made to the tranny over the years

I'd like to find one for the 722.1xx, I have unfortunately found out the hard way why you can't mate a 300D trans to the 240D

Since the 722.6 also sits in the Crossfire (and a couple of others from the Chrystler days...) as NAG1, grab the 2004_Crossfire_Service_Manual.pdf
from this page;
http://www.crossfireforum.org/forum/crossfire-srt6/13875-crossfire-srt6-documentation-collection.html

The mechanical description and teardown begins at page 2580!.

Now, for a more function-wise story, whats make it tick:-), have a look here;
http://qclt.com/train/w202/w202/transmission.htm
(dumps of some Mercedes CDs that pop up (and disappears) from time to time)

br,
syljua

That is pretty sweet!! My problem would be the time involved in the rebuild, can't have the car down for 3-4 months or more.

haha My SEL has been down since MAY! finally moved under it's own power today (yay!)
I should have her back on the road tomorrow. The Japs have taken over the streets since I've been down.
