1991 500 SL Knock Sensor Wiring Harness

1991 500 SL - this vehicle utilizes two knock sensors, which are connected via a wiring harness to the ignition control module. The insulation for the wires in this harness has deteriorated, leaving larges areas of exposed bare wire.

The harness can be easily unplugged from the control unit... is it safe to run the engine with this harness unplugged, until the harness can be replaced?

Use some tape & tape the exposed wires.

Only a 5V reference voltage signal from EZL.
