Well you have skinny little tires, I never had that problem with 245's in the back.

The 617 is absolutly the better motor for an around town car. Its amazing how different the two cars feel. The 300SD feels smaller and more nimble, plus the 617 never complains about short trips.

The 603 OTOH if you drive it around town for to long soots up and runs like crap.

But out on the open road their is no comparison, the 603/SDL is in another league.

Don't forget those wheels will knock you down 1-2mpg right off the bat.

Plus Milford just sucks....who thought that this intersection was a good idea?

Well it made a lot of sense in 1750, just not so much today...

Those houses on the right are all 300 years old...the other side of the post road is late 19th early 20th...kind of grew that way.

This is exactly why I sold my W140! I found myself letting it sit and driving the other cars because I was afraid it was going to break! When driving a W140, a failure is an expen$ive proposition.

IMHO its not really worth owning a car so expensive to maintain that you're afraid to drive it.....whats the point?

Thanks Hattie. I didn't say I couldn't afford a big repair, but I do fear them. I just can't justify keeping a 20k car when a sub 5k is almost as satisfying and far cheaper to run.

Most likely I'll list the E500 first come January.

Apparently.

One day when my boat comes back to me I'm going to buy a small fleet and its doubtful that I'll ever sell any of them (And they will all be kept in top notch condition)

My ship hasn't come in at all, otherwise I would have kept half the cars in the previous portion of my signature. Its just nice to enjoy them for a while and make a buck.

Also garage space could be a problem. (That was the one thing that held be back on a lot of previous purchases)

I can safely say that he has bought more cars this year than I have bought and sold since I started driving.
