drivers window not working e300 w210

i don't know the thing just stopped. I swapped out a different window switch board with my old mans (he has a 98 e300) and that didnt fix it. I am getting a clicking sound coming out of the drivers door when i hit the switch. I pulled teh panel and there is a little plastic box with connectors going to it thats clicking...i swapped that out with another known good unit and it still didnt fix it.

anybody have any ideas? I already changed out a rear regulator once, but I dont think this is that problem as it just stopped working for no reason.

When there is a network on computers that must "talk" & even 1 computer has a problem IT will cause issues with any of the other computers.

You need to find who on the network has the problem.

Testing the HI/LOW voltage signals is the only way to locate the issue.

The first thing I would try is using the remote to lower and raise the windows. Just hold lock or unlock button while pointing the remote directly at the drivers exterior door handle for a few seconds after the lock cycles. If no go from there try rebooting the computers......disconnect the battery cable for a few minutes, then reconnect and see what happens. If nothing...Then let the troubling shooting begin.
