Trunk Release

Is there an adjustment so that when you press the trunk release button inside the car the trunk swings open vs. just popping open? I noticed that at certain inclines the trunk will swing open completely (what I want). On level surfaces is just pops open an inch (what's the point in that?). Thanks.

If you will look up where the springs attatch, there are 3 different levels. I don't know what they are there for, but this might be what you are looking for.

Yup, there are 3 holes for each side (spring) behind the trunk lining. Mine didn't swing open, so I moved the springs to the one next to it (last adjustment hole, of 3).
If you pull back the trunk lining and find the holes, you'll figure it out.
But let me warn you.... these Springs have a lot of tension... it was a pain in the @ss 'de-compressing' them get the hook into the final hole.
GOOD LUCK!

Trunk release? Where?

Is there a trunk release on the 300E, rather, was it an option?

If so, can I get one?

I think it was a real FUBAR thing NOT to put one in an otherwise amazing automobile!

Thanks,

David
