Wiper replacements

Hello out there!
I just got back from Pepboys and AutoZone and neither one of them carry wiper replacements for my 1990 420 SEL. They carry Rainex, Bosh and Some other brand that begins with an A. Is there any other places in SOCAL I should check other than the dealer?

Thanks

You should be able to buy new Bosch wiper blade inserts online. It's much more economical than buying the entire wiper blade arm.

The do carry them. They're called 22" wiper blades. :D ;) Pick a brand (I use Bosch Excel+) and put them on.

I found that a lot of the "generic" blades didn't fit my car. I bought the Bosch ones and they seemed to work well. Next time I'll probably go OEM, though.

Keep it oe, do not do the aftermarket or even brazilian bosch, get just the inserts and keep the arms, the inserts are way cheaper and good quality, they come in a yellow/red package and say made in germany or Belgium.

The standard Bosch stamped-metal frame is the OE. Mine have both Bosch and the Mercedes star on them.

Yes but they are made in brazil, the original arm in that car is german and the inserts are German or Belgium in origin.
Lots of people here throwing away perfectly good arms and replacing with the newer Bosch imho.
Peace

For what it is worth, I replaced what looked like the factory wiper blade and frame with a newer replacement from Bosch on my '89 300CE. The frame looks identical and the performance is up to OE standards. I don't think much has changed in 20 years.
