Taking that trigger wheel out of the pulley: help!

Today I received the EDIS Package I got on Ebay. I noted that the inner diameter of the trigger wheel was nearly equal to the outer diameter of the crank pulley. So out of curiosity, I put the pulley in the freezer, the trigger wheel in the oven, and after a while I tried to engage the wheel on the pulley. It went in easily, but this is when the fire alarm went on because a paper left in the oven had caught fire. By the time I sorted out the situation and came back to the pulley the whole thing had become rock solid and of course the pulley is not at all positioned where it should. I tried to take it out but it would't budge, and I fear to take it out of shape by hammering on it. So I now need an intelligent idea to take it out!

Thanks!

Grasping at straws here since I don't know the exact nature of your problem... How about some of that electronic freeze spray for the inside part and then heat the outside part with a torch or a heat gun real quick?

Stick the whole thing in the freezer overnight and then apply heat to the outside part real quick like and then give it a sharp rap to see if it will knock loose?

Maybe a hydraulic press pushing on a mandrel or pilot of the exact size on the inside part?
