headlamp out

My highbeam light is out on the passenger side, also, highbeam light indicator on dash is out. Bulb replacement did not fix it so I suspect a fuse or wiring problem. Did not find fuse location for highbeam on the fuse diagram. What does mercedes call the highbeam circuit. Any suggestions on starting my wiring trace, I do not have a wiring diagram, but need one.
This is on a 98 E300D. I is "flasher" fuse the same as Highbeam?

According to babelfish highbeam in duetche is highbeam. You didn't say what model and year the car was but both of mine have seperate fuses for the left and right headlights.

On my 87 300E, fuse #16 is the right hi beam and hi beam indicator. It should be labelled inside the lid of the fuse box, unless they stopped doing that on newer models. Maybe also in the owners manual?

According to the map on the 108 fuse box "fernlicht" is high beam and "abblendlicht" is low beam. and in following your symptoms "kontrolleuchte" is the high beam indicator.

Not sure how much things have changed or stayed the same, but on the 108 the right high beam and indicator are on the same fuse. #9 Frenlicht rechts u. kontrolleuchte.
