420 SEL fuel System?

Trying to find any mech or electrical component that would fail when going around corners L or R, slow or fast, car stumbles and upon repeated applications of gas pedal resumes running. It will die if I let it and restart OK.
Straight line, starting, idling, OK. Jumping fuel relay appears to cure problem but relay tests OK. Can I run the car on the jumper without harm i.e., over pressure to fuel system? Stumped?

Did you shake the relay when you tested it? Heat it up? Could be your testing method just failed to reveal a bad relay, especially if your problems go away with it jumped.

Unless stated otherwise, any question I ask is about my greymarket 1985 380SEL.

You bet and with the continuity tester on the pins. Car stops when cold so no need to heat. Contacts also work fine.

A sulfated battery can cause random electrical issues when you corner. The sulfates slosh around and temporarily short the battery plates. Whunter hipped me to that scenario when I was having a similar problem with my 300SE. Although in my case, it turned out to be a leaky breather hose.

"Solshing Batt Fluid"

Wow...without doubt, the most novel thinking for an auto problem I have ever heard. You are to be congratulated! What else could turn off the juice so randomly? I will try replacing the batt and let you know. Many thanks.

Well, don't just run out and spend money. Try swapping one from another car first if you can. That tip, by the way, was given to me by one of the most senior and knowledgeable contributers here.

Having said that, there are no doubt plenty of other things that could cause it.

Sorry Tony not the battery

But I am more sorry. I believe it has to do with the other circuits on the board in the relay. Anybody know what all the other pins, except 12v, do? Fuel pressure? other?
