Tappett Trouble

Hello out there!
I have that all too familiar stuck lifter tap tap tap, under the valve cover. I can't afford to fix it right now and am wondering is there anything in the form of a aftermarket additive that frees sticky lifters? Also I know I can't let this go forever so what kind of damage is it doing and what is the ultimate outcome of leaving it?

190 420 SEL

Thanks

What kind of oil are you running? You might try mobil one 10w30. It freed stuck lash adjusters for my 84 500sec.
