96 E300 in cabin trunk release
 

Been trying to repair the lid release. It works fine with the key to lock and unlock, and with the button will open the trunk. When I use the console button I hear a whir and air but no open. I have taken the actuator out and it looks fine but it may be missing a part on the left side. There is a yellow piece of plastic that seems loose but not having seen it before it quit working I am in the dark. Any advice or where I can see a Pic or diagram would help sooo much.

For sure that yellow plastic piece is related to the remote release.

Ok then, the yello plastic piece(ypp) is loose and just kinda sitting on a plastic holder thingy. Do you or anyone know how it hooks to the cabin release?
