Help from anyone no start 99 e320

My friend has a 99 e320 4matic wagon and about a month ago he went to change a flat on passenger front doing so he set the alarm off. Now the car will not start I would like to remove ata because there is no need here on kauai. Does anyone no location of ata and also i believe K38 relay to jumper. Not sure if relay is different on this year I know previous years it was but not sure of location. Thanks to anyone who can help and God bless.

Does the starter operate at all??

On 1996 & later MB's the ATA system doesn't effect starter operation.

ATA operation is controlled by the PSE pump (central locking)

No K38 relay!

Help with no start 99 e320

Thanks for responding ya I haven't done to much work on newer mb. There is no starter responce when key is turned. So what should I look at starter or maybe nutrual safety switch. It seems like from what my friend told me the car was running fine till tire change and alarm went off. Thanks again for the help and may the Lord richly bless you all

Check for 12V at the starter when you turn the key. If you've got that, there's your problem. If it's on it's way out, sometimes you can just bang on it to jar it a little and it'll spin; it would still need replacement, though.

It sounds like the tire & alarm thing is just a coincidence.
