Just to keep everyone else up to date.
I contacted the place Chris recommended and they said $400 for a used part. dealer quoted me $628 but they also said if the steering angle sensor they replaced didn't fix the problem I should bring it back in and let them look at it they may be able to credit me part of the Steering angle sensor money toward the new sensor... the key phrase there is "may be". still looking around for a better price. Thanks for all your help so far Chris it has been very helpful. |
So I finally found the part new using the new part numbers... it was $425 which was quite a bit less than dealer cost.
Installed in about 30 mins and so far no problems. |

yaw rate sensors are normally used for electronic assist steering systems, electronic cruise control and somes for electronic suspension. IF you got a code for brake switch its on the steering column
