Hopefully whatever they hit that bent the steering damper didn't also tweak something major and that's what's causing the alignment issue and one-sided tire wear.
The 722 trannies are quite dependable and real work horses. I wouldn't worry about high milage fluid, IMO, regular Dexron III will be fine. |

Tweaking something else is what I'm worried about as well. I'll find out when I get an alignment.

Mine was actually similar, but it was a steering damper that was bent and causing the noise.
