Front Speakers on '86 300E Replacements
 

Greetings All,

Just wondering if anyone has replaced the front speakers on their 300E? I've looked up the part number at various sites and can't seem to get the originals. I guess I could call Phil, but am scared at the price they probably want for original replacements. Anyone tried any other brand or type with success? Please let me know.

I put in Diamond Audio 4.5 inch (M341i) speakers up there. It's not an exact fit but very close, and from what I hear, probably the closest you'll find to those OEM speakers.

Internet vendors sell a pair of them for about $80 shipped.

go to any competent stereo shop and they can sell you speakers that fit. some can be cheap as hell, others really expensive.

Its up to you to decide on what you want and go listen to all the speakers that fit your car before you buy.

I bought one for my 91 300d a few weeks ago and it was about $17.00 from the dealer. it has a different part number. I couldn't find it here at fast lane either.
