Squeaky Steering Wheel
When I turn the wheel fast, it squeeks, either direction... doesn't matter.
It doesn't happen when I turn it slowly. It sounds like it's coming from the actual steering wheel, not the power steering pump. Any ideas? Thanks

plastic rubbing on itself?
Maybe it just needs the Steering shaft to be lubricated with mercedes approved grease... Alon

I have the same problem with the wagon. I had the power steering pump checked out and it is fine, as well as the fluid level. It is suppose to originate (previous searches) where the metal steering column goes through a rubber 'O' ring that needs lubricating but I've not gotten around to it.

be careful with the old air bag in the event you choose to delve into the steering column
