ECM location?

Hello, I would like to know where the ECM is located on a 1985 380sel? I looked under the front seat and both kick panels with no luck. Thank you in advance, Ken.

Look under the hood behind the 'false' firewall. Should be on the right.

Is yours a euro?

ECM location

Ok I'll look behind the firewall, and yes it is a euro! Thanks!

85 380SEL Euros may not have an ECM. I got an engine from an 84 500SEL euro that was not set up for mixture control. If it did have one, it would be behind the right front kick panel.

Depends where you are. If yours went through the DOT/EPA wringer, it's got some sort of O2-sensor based mixture control.

The ECU I've got is located behind the false firewall to the right of the ABS controller; and I don't have an EHA valve, so I'm not really sure what's being controlled besides the little bypass line.

I looked behind the false firewall and found an electronic box with the numbers 0265101016 on it! I searched that number on ebay and ebayers are selling it as an ABS Module or an Engine Module! Can anyone tell me what it really is? I am really lost on this one! Thanks, Ken!

The module on the firewall is for the ABS...

Ok Compu85 thanks! but I'm still lost on where the location for the ECM is!

That fat aluminum one on the left if for the ABS, the black one on the right is for the engine (at least, that's what I thought it was). I also have an 'extra' EPA black box in my harness, though.

Does your vehicle have O2 sensors?
