Need technical data for auto trans
Hi. I'm new here and need some help. I have a 75 300D W115 with auto trans, quite uncommon here in Spain were everybody loves manuals. I have had the box rebuilt after it died suddenly. The problem is that the repair shop seems not to have the technical data for this boxes, as they are unable to adjust it correctly. I need:
-At what speed should the upshifts occur while accelerating is ninimal. -At what speeds should downshifts occur. -Pressure data. -Adjusting tips. Thanks a lot in advance. |
Modulator pressure is fixed. The test spec is 6.8bar at stall speed full throttle vehicle stationary.
Working pressure is 13.6bar under above conditions in "L" pos. 8.9bar in position "D", and 18 and above in reverse. Stall speed should be 1600-1700rpm. Kickdown shifts 1-2-1 Pos "D" 33kph/21kph 2-3-2 50kph/45kph 4-4-3 97kph/84kph About the only adjustment on that trans is the throttle link to the trans. It has a compound control of shift strength as the mod is not changing. If the shifts are too soft make it shift later and vise versa. |
Thanks Steve, that's the data I needed. Only two more questions.
The minimum speed at which the car changes from 2° to 3° is now 38 km/h, that is when I am almost not pressing the accelaretor, and usually it jerks. I think that change from 2 to 3 in those conditions should occur earlier, say 30 km/h, and of course softly. Am I right? The other question is if is it possible to make the car start from first gear always, in D. |
