Changing valve stem seals on a M103
What is involved in changing the valve stem seals on a M103 engine? My primary question is this: Does the camshaft have to be removed or can it be accomplished by simply removing the rocker arms as is done on the v8's. I have changed the seals on the single overhead cam V8 (420sel's) a few times and it is no big deal.

The valve seals can be done without removing the camshaft.

Same as the V8s, it requires the removal of the rocker arms only. Much easier since there is only one bank and plenty of room.
