keyless entry W203 C240
 

Hi,

My new C240 (W203) can only be locked and unlocked when i point my key about 1-2 meters away from the driver's door. Otherwise, i am unable to remotely unlock or lock the car from any position. Any ideas on this? My previous benzes can be locked and unlocked from any position, and also for quite a distance. thanks.

I have a 2001 C 240 and my remote works as far as 25 metres away from the car. So, you may want to have the dealer check the remote fob or the remote receiver.

It is not uncommon that the W203 remote is not reliable. My car is more than year a year old and the remote is still working fine.

Mine also will work fine from 25 metres. I believe that this system is IR AND RF. I believe the RF portion of your key OR your car has trouble. Have you tried the extra key?
