stupid question - jack hole cover w124
Hi,
The cover for the hole where you put the jack doohickey to lift the car is attached to the body by a plastic strip. 1994 w124 model. How does this strip connect to the body? One of my hole covers has this strip, but it just comes out. I'm afraid someday I may loose the hole cover if it happens to fall/pop out. Thanks for your time. I know it's a really stupid question, but it does bother me - I've tried using a dentist mirror and flashlight to see how the other cover strips are attached, but no luck. |

So, another stupid question. I just got a '95 W124, and it has the square covers, not the round ones. Do I just put a screwdriver (with a towel over it) and pop out the covers from the bottom?
I don't want to break any external body parts. I've got a mint condition body. |

Jack support points are alot smaller on the '95 W124 over the '89. My jack stands will damage the underneath. Gotta figure out some sort of adapter. |
Steven, use a hockey puck under the lift points to avoid damage to the underside of the lower trim.
