anyone know where I can get a auto trans rebuild kit for my 83 500se
the 83-85 380se should be the same? anyone know a place...may just rebuild the one I got

All of the parts necessary are probably available from fastlane.
I buy from the same source and they will send you real OE MB stuff. You should order a gasket set (would need trans number) three sets of clutch discs (126 272 06 25, 126 272 07 25, 126 272 09 25), a thrust bearing (126 272 22 62), a modified band (126 270 18 62) and a modified B2 servo piston (107 270 04 32). The parts that aren't available from fastlane should be gotten at a MB dealer source.
