Will a 380se axle fit in a300sd ?
 

Will a axle from a 1984 380se fit in my 1984 300sd? The books say they are different but the only difference i see is the diameter of the joint near the differential, splines and length look the same. Thank you

Take a careful look at that diameter as the diameter of the bolt circle of the flange and the joint may well be different, keeping it from bolting up.

It doesn't have a bolt flange it is one piece axle.

Sorry about that, I was thinking that the bolts which hold the inner joint to the differential were what you were questioning. Does your joint use that method of attachment? Do you mean will the axle shaft alone fit into a different diameter inner CV joint?

It is a one piece axle with splines on both sides one on the differential and one on the wheel. Is a annular shaft

MB# 126 350 64 10


The 300SD axle is
MB# 126 350 69 10

This is a mercedes # I was looking for a aftermarket or remanufactured part.
