Seat height

Looking to buy a newer Benz.My area because of limitive income,Mercedes are rare. I would really like to get a 99 e class turbo diesel.
I compared a 2002 S500 to my SD,and seat height was taller on the new S.I liked that.
I have spinal problems,a new C Class no way I can get that low.
Are the newer 96 an up, E models close to a S class seat height?
Thank you kindly.

I'm sorry I can't provide any comparisons with the S-Class. One thing I want to mention is an option on E-Class (W210) known as multi-contour seats (sometimes called orthopedic seats). Each front seat has several bladders which can be inflated/deflated to provide a custom fit. If you have any reoccurring back problems, I would suggest checking them out.

BTW, you can tell if a car has them by the large black control pads w/sliders just in front of the seat belt receiver (on drivers side).

Good luck.

I guess if I has too,I could have thicker spring pads installed for height.Be nice if there was a air shock to fix these cars.I heard some guys use Gabreil Air Shocks from early Firebirds to get rear lift on w126.

An ML will give you plenty of seat height.

Of course--the 99% of ML owners that have no problems don't write in to forums.

Maybe so.But my finacial status forces me to do my own Mechanic work.If I could buy a CDI,and have extra sensors, and gadgets that fail.Maybe.But I would find some way to make it Mechanical injection.
