Fuel Hose

We are replacing the fuel filter and pump on the 380SL...new lines
coming that have fitings ....on the hoses that are cut to fit can you
use the NAPA etc kind of hose and can you test the fuel dampter or
just replace it.

As for your question on the hoses - you need to specify fuel injection hose. The regular fuel hose they offer is low pressure and is cheap (like 50c a foot) but only works up to something like 12psi. The fuel injection hose is up to triple digit PSIs and is reinforced. It is also a lot more expensive (like $10) a foot, but you don't need a whole lot of it. The high pressure stuff should be fine.

Thanks....didnt know if MB had some hose that was super hose hi...
now onto the fuel dampter test ....I think without knowing that its
just a baffle ..ie no moving parts. As soon as the new hoses with
fitting come in the whole thing can go back in the car.

It is not a bad job if you pull out whole assby....
