Diagnostic Code Confusion?
Hey guys, so I've been getting a lot of codes on my W124 lately, over and over. I've looked up codes and what they mean, but, I guess there are more definitions for various versions of the car.
So far I've been getting Code number, 5, 11, 16, and 17. I'm not sure exactly which code table to apply to my car :(. It's a '90 with the 3.0L M103 engine if that helps. Also, do any of those sound horrible? As in just junk the car status? :(((((( |
You should find what you need in the pdf document linked in this thread:

Cool, thanks. Took me a while to find the right table since my chassis/engine/trans fit under 3 different diagnostic tables but I'm pretty sure this one is mine.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/tex05/Page-01.jpg I'm kinda crapping myself now :( so far I've gotten. 5 Oxygen sensor signal illogical 11 Air injection system 16 Exhaust gas recirculation 17 Oxygen sensor is shorted to positive or ground =(((( Sound bad guys? :((( Also, so I'm no making new threads :P. When I'm at or above 50MPH the back of my car sways a lot, back and forth sometimes, really annoying. I'm assuming a bushing problem? And when it rains and the front right tire area gets wet there's a lot of creaking when I turn and on any bumps, etc. Another bushing? :( |
