Euro W126 Headlight Conversion Questions

Hi All,

I have a few questions about converting to Euro 126 Headlights that I can't seem to find the answer for by searching, although I'm sure it exists.....

1) Do I need to replace the corner lights, or are the DOT spec ones the same?
2) Other than proper Euro lights and the headlight switch, what parts do I need to make the adjustable height work?
3) Do I need new wipers only, or as some have suggested, entirely new wiper motors?

I'm going to order some stuff today, and I need to figure this out.

Thanks!

Really, nobody knows?

1) Euro corner lights are orange, US ones are yellow. Either will fit as the mounting points are 100% the same.
2) You would need to run some vacuum line, and perhaps add another vacuum reservoir and check valve
3) The wiper motor brackets, wiper motros, and wiper arms are different. The euro wiper motors turn more on each sweep. The brackets have the motor in a slightly different place (US motors are inboard a bit more) and set further back in the car. Of course the arms are a totally different shape. The euro motors also wipe in the opposite direction.

Thanks for answering that. Now I can go ahead with my orders.

What a total pain about the wipers and motors, but really who needs 'em? I'll probably just delete them and order some blank panels to replace the ones with wiper shaft holes in them.

Thanks much!!
