W140 climate control
 

The car is a 95 S320, there is no cold A/C from the left vent (driver side and the two left center vents). Instead, it would blow only hot heated air even the control is set to low. It would only work (blow cold A/C) when the cold air control is pushed on the center vent.

Sounds like your duovalve is in need of a re-build or replacement. They go all the way hot when they fail.

When mine failed, it went cold on the one side... Couldn't get heat to the passenger side. Replaced it, and all was well...
Do the doors for the air handler box in the dash open and close properly?? When you change your airflow fully to the floor, does air still come out the side vent when the fan is on?? (best tested with the fan on max)
