w201 exhaust pipe size
 

Hey everyone,

I'm going to have my exhaust on my 201 worked on. I've got a new resonator coming soon (i dont have one right now--mine is just straight pipe to muffler)..

I had 2" pipe installed all the way back a few years ago and I was considering replacing the whole lot if the pipe is in poor condition. The resonator has openings for 2.5" pipe.

I was wondering if there would be alright to run with 2.5" piping?

Any thoughts?
