PS and coolant flush and rear diff fluid
Today I did a PS flush and a coolant flush on my 92 400E! Both were simple, for the PS flush I did the suck out fill start the car turn the wheel, then do it again and again and again until its clean! I did not want to mess with the lower PS hose since I got it to stop leaking a month ago! coolant flush was easier then an oil change!!! Twist the little red cap on the bottom of the radiator open the rez tank close it back up and refill super easy unlike my 05 minicooper s PITA!!! I also did the rear diff fluid last weekend that stuff was NASTY!!! coolant and PS were not that bad though! Check those off the list!!! Tommorrow Oil and filter and maybe Y-pipe and Magnaflow Exhaust !!!!!!:D

There are drains on the block for the colant also...
PS steering lines are not an impossible task... Just plan on some time and pull the exhaust off the drivers side, and buy some new copper sealing washers. M |
How many times did you suck out and refill before it came out clean? I did it probably 8-10 times and it still kept coming out dirty on my 260E, so I gave up and decided to try another method at a later date.

My PS fluid was leaking for along time it looks like, so I think alot of the old stuff leaked out , I did it maybe 10-15 times! The coolant seemed surprizingly clean to? So Ps,cool, tran, brak, rear end, done!!!Just did a thousand miles since I got it, oil was bad when I got it so I'm going to change the oil again this weekend Thinking 20w50 castro LL and maybe a splash of MMO!!!
