M117 cam woodruff keys
I have a multipart question about the woodruff keys on the drivers camshaft.
I am swapping cams from a .983 engine into my .986, and I wonder what offset I should use for the swap. Is it a preference thing in so far as what you want your timing to be advanced to, or can I put a straight key and gain a happy medium? or does the key configuration stay with engine or camshaft? (sense?) I'll leave you guys to think..I'm gonna go wash my car...

Every engine is different.
If the head OR block has been machined OR trued the cam timing should be check & adjusted by using an off-set key.
