124 motor mounts
What a difference 4 years makes.... I had next to no trouble changing out motor mounts on a 300CE 4 years ago...... yes, the drivers side was tight , but i got it.
This time, I couldn't loosen the bottom bolts without a cheater bar, couldn't loosen the top nuts at all. On the passenger side, i took off the motor mount bracket and loosened the top bolt on the ground.... it was still tight. Couldn't do the driver's.. I will have to take it to an indy.... very frustrating. I just don't remember the bolts being that tight last time....

Are you jacking up the engine a little bit to relieve tension?

yes....tried that, too....
i noticed the top bolt on the passenger side was much tougher to loosen..also, like i said, i needed a cheater bar to get leverage for the bottom bolts.... i also just don't have the arm strength like i used to..... hopefully it won't be much more than 75 dollars to change the drivers side...
