95 C220 w202 where are the spark plugs?

Hello...I am afraid I need some help on this one...
I currently own a C220 1995 w202, the car doesn't want to start, I understand that it isn't the starter because it clicks. I think that it may be the spark plugs, but I am not certain. I have found the spark plugs, but when I remove the ignition wires, I show that I cannot use a regular 5/8" spark plug socket; there is a round plastic covering them, right underneath the header. Do I need to remove the header in order to get to the plugs...I need some advice before I start pulling some parts...and if anyone can offer any assistance regarding why my vehicle doesn't start, I would greatly appreciate it...Thank you

Greetings!

Sorry to hear about your car being in sleep-mode. If you starter clicks but the engine does not turn over, it is unlikely that all the plugs would have fouled at once.

The simplest answer is that the battery is dead/shorted. Look into that first before doing anything with the plugs.

Hope it is a simple battery issue. They're pretty cheap at Costco.

If it's not either of those...

Hey I would agree with HaYN Benz,

Check the battery first, then the distributer, plug wires and finally the plugs. But i highly doubt it's the plugs, all of them wont go at once.

Good Luck :D

about my 95 c220

To hayne benz and chris17h, thanks a lot for the advice, but the battery was the first thing i checked, the alarm worked so did the radio, the lights and the windows, so all interior electrical aspects of the vehicle seem to be working properly. That is absolutely true about the plugs but when i turn my key I can feel my car trying but for some reason it just won't go, i'll check the wires and disitributor, and again thanks a lot guys.

Just jump it...

Hey what tkamiya said:

He is very right recently my moms car did the same thing so i just went out and jumped the car. Thats the easiest way to find out if it's the battery

sorry to dig this thread out of the graveyard, but this guy's question never got answered.... I guess everyone got too involved in trying to solve this guy's problem.

I'm about to replace mine and i'd like to know. Also, I saw that the correct plugs are non resistor Bosch plugs. Is this correct?
