Which wiring harness? 94 - E320

I have been working on an E320 and it's been a tough one. I think it's got the original wiring harness.

How do I know which harness to replace? I'm assuming there's more than one harness for the E320.

The upper engine wire harness is the common one. If you have an ASR car, the throttle actuator / ETA harness is also a good idea.

What does it usually cost and is it worth patching up (cutting out the old and replacing them with new wires)?

Check out the DIY article I wrote on this back in '03 when I had to change the one on my '94 E320:

I hope it helps...

Great article! Thanks for that. I'm afraid I have more wiring that looks bad in my car (fan wiring, other misc wires). Hopefully this fixes the problem. You can see why MB techs won't work on anything without a new harness.
