Torque Spec for W210 Caliper Bolts

I am about to re-do the front brakes on my '97 E320. I have not been able to find the specification for re-torquing the bolts that hold the calipers to the caliper carrier. These bolts have 7mm hex heads. These are fixed calipers. Can anybody give me this spec? TIA

Torque to 115Nm or 85 ft-lbs. Bolts are self-locking and should be replaced with new ones whenever loosened.

Wrong bolts ....

the spec you quote is for the bolts that fasten the caliper carrier to the suspension. I will be replacing these during my work.

If you have the two part caliper then I believe you have floating calipers not fixed. The center portion rides on 2 guide pins. The head of the guide pin is covered by a plastic plug. On mine (98) the guide pins are a socket head for T45 bit. The torque is 25Nm.

I'm reasonably certain that ....

my front calipers are fixed. The documentation I have (MB DVD and AlldataDYI) seems to mix the information concerning both types. I pulled one of the cover plugs and the bolts in question definitely have heads requirin a 7mm hex wrench.

I stand corrected ...

the calipers on my '97 E320 are floating calipers.
