I have been looking into the CLK's. For instance the early 2000-2003, I have read many posts on the convertible tops not working correctly and on the majority of these the trunk will not open, with the manual key, remote or switch from inside the car. In many posts they talk about changing some type of relay that is in the trunk. Are you familiar with this relay, no one ever pin points what or where the relay actually is. I have a friend who has a 2003 CLK 430 that is having this problem and I am thinking of purchasing the car from him if it may be an easy relay fix. On his particular car the headrest will not lower all the way, they go down slightly then just seem to stop like something is restricting their lowreing process. If it may be some sort of relay, I may consider get the car from him. Thanks for your time.
