Question oil temp switch or oil pressure switch?

I am having a problem with my oil pressure..it bounces like its trying to find where it should be

the idle does not change..just the oil pressure gauge. sometime when at a stop light it stays at 3 sometimes 1 and sometimes 2

the engine feels like its got chunks of air, fuel or oil running through it..

they did a fuel pressure check and everything is fine.

then they checked out the O2 sensor..well the machine they used was flat line..they messed with the air fuel mixture and it wouldnt change..

now he seems to think it is the oil temp switch but after reading the posts here and the CD it might be the oil pressure switch?

could someone tell me what the oil temp switch does beside the oil temp..

and what does the oil pressure switch do?

and why would this guy get a flat line on the O2 sensor?

The engine control unit uses info from the oil temp sensor to operate the warm-up enrichment compensator.
The oil pressure sensor (NOT switch) is only used by the pressure gauge on the dash.
The O2 sensor is considered a wear item, if the voltage stops fluctuating, the sensor is worn out and should be replaced.

So if the O2 signal isn't fluctuating, what IS it reading?

the O2 sensor is reading flat line...no increase when its unpluged and no decrease..one mechanic says the cadaltic converter is plugged..

the fuel pressure was checked thats fine..the lambada control unit checked thats fine...the idle control valve checked..fine..idle control valve checked its fine

when he bypassed the fuel frequency valve it ran better up in the 50%...pluged it back in 20%..
he wants to replace that part and the oil temp switch..but when I called a mechanic to see how much the parts were he told me neither one were bad...it was my overload protection relay that was bad...I can not find anyone who has had that part replaced my mechanic has never done one..and the mechanic I called for the part has never sold one or replaced one...mine looks (20 years old) but its not leaking anywhere...

looked at the overload protection relay doesnt have the top fuse blown..

is really confused???
