Second Opinion Appreciated

1990 300TE vs 1988 BMW 325i.....I think that the oil pressure indicator on the Mercedes is a complete piece of ****....it's simply a way to get you into the dealer to change the oil...the BMW has these stupid lights that attempt get you to do the same thing....I've watched this thing very closely and it's all marketing....

What are you talking about in regards to the the oil pressure gauge and M103? Or are you referring to the low oil level light? That means your engine is low on oil, not that it needs a change. Although sometimes, the two do seem to coincide. The users manual says that prolonged highway driving increases oil consumption, due to the higher RPM nature of these engines.

I will agree. The BMW "service" lights are really really dumb. Along with their "MPG Gauge"...totally worthless.

What the hell are you babbling about now. Do you actually know your ass from a hole in the ground? None of your posts make sense so just put the crackpipe down for ****'s sake.

^Agreed 100%. Nothing ever constructive, or even related most of the time in the threads he responds in. I think he is trolling.

Go ahead and ignore your oil pressure indicator. Maybe then you won't need to post here anymore.

Oil pressure senders are replaceable. They can give low readings.I like the w123 mechanical oil pressure guage.Prehaps add one of those at your local Auto Parts Store.
