M104 in W201 emissions visual
how many people have gotten away with visual inspection with an M104 running CIS on a 93 W201, just curious? I'm toying with the idea of dropping an M104 instead of a 3.0 M103 and wondering what the chances are of the visual inspection passing without any sort of ref slip for an engine swap? I am in socal.

I highly doubt any emissions monkey will know the difference between a M103 and M104. The last time I took in my 300E, I popped the hood for them as asked. I saw the guy open the hood maybe 2-3" and then close it. Didn't even look.
