Cannot pass Emissions test 300E
Hey guys 2 years after spending over $3000 to get the 89 300e to pass the e-test it fails again. I had a mechanic try to tweak the fuel air mixture to get it to pass. He had the car for a month and still cant. Originally i kept failing on NOX extremely high. And passed both CO and HC. Nox kept failing on the 40km run not the idle. So this mechanic richened teh mixture and tried the lean it out and he was able to get the nox within spec but then failed HC and CO. He is 100% convinced that its my fuel distributor. I am not.
Dont people with bad fuel distributors have hard hot starts?? CuZ i never had that ever only extremely hard cold starts. What about the cats. I need some iput here guys please thanks.
