third brake light removal

92 500 Sel....how does one remove the third brake light on the rear dash?

Typically the MB rear shelf brake light housing has a tab on either side. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to lightly lift each tab simultaneously which releases the housing and allows it to slide forward (away from the rear glass). Once the housing is removed replacing the lamp is easy. Be sure to use an Osram-Sylvania 21-watt replacement lamp.
