SnapOn MT2500 or Multiplexer???
I am trying to diagnose a R129 ASR ABS light on problem thru the 38 pin diagnostic connector.
Which tool is the best or more bang for the buck? I am looking at both on e-bay looks like the MT2500,s are going for around $100.00 stripped down without cartridges & cables. The chinese 7.4 multiplexer(copy of mercedes star) with all cables & software goes for about $200.00! wow................ Thats alot cheaper than the real star mercedes system going for $1,000.00 to $3,500.00 used! |
I have done some research ,looking at some old posts from 07-08 it looks like the mt2500 will not look at ASR ABS systems on the 38 pin diagnostic connector cars.
It looks like a very versatile tool (MT2500) which can even look at the trans with the right cartridge.,But I am going to buy the chinese copy 7.4 multiplexer on ebay and will update you on the results. It goes for $109.00 with $75.00 shipping and will hook to any laptop. It is listed under diagnostic tools mercedes. If you want to take a look at it. John;) |

Please post back on how well the china made knock-off works for you.
I'd be currious on whom you purchased it from- there are a lot of us out here driving M119 powered cars. |
