running temp 92 400E

Anyone know what the running temp should be in my 1992 400E, it keeps shooting up to 120 in bumper to bumber traffic?

That appears to be too hot. I know that the M119s in the W124s run a bit hotter but it appears that your car is running far too hot. I would check to make sure that your cooling fans are working properly. Do you hear them come on? How many miles are on the car? Have you checked the coolant level and condition?
