2002 E320 Sedan Rear Passenger Door
I have a 2002 E320 Sedan. The window fell down inside the rear passenger door. Does anyone have a diagram of the door to know how to dismantel it and get the window fixed?
I am sure I will have to replace the motor and the regulator. Thanks for all your help... |

No diagram. If I have it correct in my head (and I may not!):
If you look right about in the middle of the inner panel, there is 1 or 2 round plugs which is/are removed and a large phillips-head screw that needs to be removed. The "C" shaped piece on the back edge, one screw removes it. The lock knob. The trim around the inside door release handle is pryed off and I believe another large phillips under that. The door panel is puled upwards, NOT pried off the door, if you do that things bust. Oh there may also be a light on the bottom, that is pried out and disconnect the wires. Once the panel is off there is a wire connection at the window switch in the door I believe. Will need a new regulator, the spool on top has probably broken off. I believe it is riveted to the door, will need to drill those. Need a really really big rivet gun to install the new regulator. Hope this helps. Post any other questions to this thread. Take a picture of any problem area, it helps. Gilly

piece of cake. first time, take all the time you need. not a race. thereafter, about 5 mins. those rear regulators are a weak point in 210s. fortunately, they're relatively easy to replace. usually, it's the little white nylon square fitting which fractures. if that is all, it can be swapped out for about $10, though a little labor involved. otherwise replace the whole unit, sans motor.
