W140 Exterior Door Handle Removal?
 

All,
I found a used assembly to replace the broken drivers side handle. I removed the Torx screw and tried to remove the handle to no avail. I noticed a philips screw that seems to be an adjustment screw. What am I doing wrong?

I am told the the actual lock has to be removed first and then the handle. I tried it on a junk yard S500 last week....I needed the passenger side door handle...I removed the actual lock first and then finally got the handle removed...it took about 20 minutes of cussing and being a contortionist.

How did you get the lock out while still in the door?
