Advice on Shock Replacement
What exactly is involved in replacing front shocks on a W123 240D? I have decided on the Bilstein Comfort shocks, as I've heard many good things about them. As far as I can tell, this would be the procedure:
- Remove the bolts on top of the shocks - Jack up the car, remove wheels - Remove the 2 12 point 10mm bolts at the bottom of the shock - Remove shock, install new one in reverse order. Is there anything I'm missing here? This seems a little too easy. Are there going to be issues with disturbing the alignment of the car, etc? Any caveats? Thanks, Brooks |
That pretty well sums it up.
You will not need an alignment.
